You Need A Budget

Do you use a software package to keep track of your personal finances? For many years I have used Microsoft Money to keep track of all my household income and spending, but after a lot of research have recently started using another system and I must say – ‘I’m impressed’.

You Need A Budget (or YNAB) is a Which Best Buy based on tests which took place in Feb 2015, achieving the highest score of those tested.

They offer a free 30 day trial. The cost a one off payment of approx. £43.00. The actual cost is in dollars so will vary with exchange rates, but rest assured this system is completely suitable for working in UK pounds.

With YNAB you can set up budgets for your spending and keep accurate records of all your bank, credit card and savings accounts. It encourages you to take control of your finances and to live within your means. They provide excellent support including free live classes, screencasts & forum, helping you to learn the system. It works on PC or Mac and they even have iPhone and Android apps.

Everyone needs to keep records of their income and spending. I don’t know of a better way than by using YNAB.

Barry from Professional Wealthcare in Camberley has provided my family and I with expert financial advice for a number of years now. His practical, down to earth approach is very much appreciated as it can be quite a dry subject. He has advised very knowledgeably, on a wide range of related topics such as mortgages, insurance and pensions and has been an absolute pleasure to work with. I would happily recommend Barry to anyone.
